Ekadashi is the 11th tithi (lunar day) occurring twice each month - once in Shukla Paksha and once in Krishna Paksha. It is considered highly sacred and is the most important day for fasting in Hindu tradition. Devotees observe fasts, pray to Lord Vishnu, and engage in spiritual practices.
